Yamaichi wins Innovation Prize at the Nokia Diamond Awards

Yamaichi Electronics has won first place in category "Innovation" at the Nokia Diamond Awards. Yamaichi Sales Director Italy, Carlo Cremonesi and Paola Penati collected the prize on behalf of the company at the awards ceremony.

According to Nokia, the Innovation Award recognizes suppliers who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, forward-thinking and groundbreaking solutions. “The wide variety of innovative cases received this year showcases how suppliers went the extra mile to contribute with cutting-edge technology and present innovative practices, which can contribute to Nokia’s strategy.”, commented Gernot Dobida, Head of Fixed Networks Advanced Procurement Network Infrastructure.

Yamaichi's solutions for Data Networking Connectivity beat off competition from NXP and Orbis Systems to win the award. Queca Espigares, Head of Sustainability, Strategic Sourcing and Mobile Networks, praised Yamaichi and its solutions when announcing the winner: “Yamaichi Electronics has been instrumental for Nokia to continue leading the market of high-speed coherent transmission, reaching 1.2 Terabits per seconds. With data centre interconnect increasingly big business worldwide, Yamaichi’s approach has brought reliable and smart solutions, enabling higher capacity and speed. This helps our customers scale with simplicity while managing costs effectively!”
