YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS was awarded one of the German Innovation Leaders by the F.A.Z. Institute which belongs to the renowned German newspaper F.A.Z. (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung). The award „Deutschlands Innovationsführer“ („German Innovation Leader“) approves the high value and usefulness of patents which save the inventions of YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS from copycats. YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS holds numerous approved and pending patents for its inventions in the field of electro-mechanical components and electrical contacting technologies.
The selection criterion of the jury was the number and frequency of patent applications with the German and European Patent Office. The patents regard new designs and technologies of connectors, test and burn-in sockets as well as other electronic interface solutions. These connectivity components are used in demanding applications for the semiconductor industry, for industrial automation, automotive, medical, measuring and testing technology, for data networking as well as mobile and embedded computing.
In 2018 alone YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS filed successfully 18 patents with the European Patent Office. In the last years the total number of approved patents increased to 111 and those for pending patents rose to 87. This is an outstanding achievement for a medium-size company like YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS Deutschland GmbH. These figures underline the researcher and inventor spirit which is reigning among the over 80 design engineers within this company.
The innovative strength of YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS is unbroken. Thus the received award will be confirmed in the future by continuous and numerous new inventions and patent filings.
